Our Community At Work.
Proud to Call Them "Neighbors"
In addition to all of the wonderful charity work done by the River Run Community spearheaded by Ruby, I would like to feature some charitable work by some members of our River Run family.
Nice People, Doing Nice Things.....
David Schiff and his lovely wife Lisa, sponsored a Halloween Candy Buy-Back program at David's denistry office in Ocean Pines. The program was one way to prevent cavities and a better way to share the wealth of candy bars with soldiers overseas The Schiffs will also provide cards, allowing children to write letters to the troops. The candy and cards will be added to care packages, put together by the Eastern Shore Chapter of Harley Owners. The organization began putting together care packages for the troops last year. The Halloween Candy Buy-Back program is only one part of David and Lisa Schiff's community involvement. The couple gave 500 bags filled with toothpaste, toothbrushes, lip balm, sugar-free candy and mouth wash to local charities for families in need., such as - Worcester County G.O.L.D., Agape Project, The Cricket Center and Worcester County Youth and Family Counseling-Family Connections Program.
On October 4th, several of our Homeowners participated in the ALS Walk. Over $39,000 was raised with more monies to be counted. Team Rosman, which included Mike and Patty McQuillan, family and friends, accepted the award for most donations received which was $17,000
